1.1 These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) constitute a legally binding agreement between you (“User”, “Client”, “Artisan”, or “you”) and Square 15 Facility Solutions (Pty) Ltd (“Square 15”, “we”, “us”, or “our”), a company registered in the Republic of South Africa.
1.2 Definitions:
2.1 By downloading, installing, registering for, or using the Platform you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
2.2 If you do not agree, you must immediately cease using the Platform and delete your account.
2.3 We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes take effect upon publication in the app. Continued use constitutes acceptance.
3.1 You must be at least 18 years of age to register.
3.2 You must provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration.
3.3 You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
3.4 One account per person. Multiple accounts may be suspended or terminated.
3.5 Artisans must provide valid identification, proof of qualifications (where applicable), and undergo background verification before activation.
4.1 Square 15 acts as an intermediary platform connecting Clients with independent Artisans. We do not employ the Artisans.
4.2 Clients may book services through the app, website, WhatsApp, or voice assistant (Lizzy).
4.3 Service categories include but are not limited to: plumbing, electrical, painting, carpentry, tiling, roofing, waterproofing, geyser installation, and general maintenance.
4.4 Pricing is determined by the Platform’s pricing engine and may include labour, materials, call-out fees, and applicable VAT (15%).
4.5 For RFQ/custom quotes, pricing is provided after assessment and must be accepted before work begins.
4.6 Bookings are subject to Artisan availability. We endeavour to dispatch an Artisan within a reasonable time.
4.7 Once an Artisan accepts a booking, the Client will be notified via in-app notification, WhatsApp, or SMS.
5.1 Payment options include: Ozow (instant EFT), credit/debit card, in-app Wallet, and BNPL providers (PayJustNow, MoreTyme, Happy Pay, Mobicred).
5.2 Clients may choose to pay in full or pay a 35% deposit with the balance due upon completion.
5.3 All payments are held in escrow until the Client confirms satisfactory completion or 72 hours elapse after job completion, whichever occurs first.
5.4 Platform service fees are deducted from payments before Artisan payouts.
5.5 Artisans are paid via Wallet payout, EFT, or admin-initiated card payment within 3–5 business days of job completion.
5.6 Late or failed payments may result in account suspension.
5.7 All prices displayed are in South African Rand (ZAR) and include VAT unless stated otherwise.
6.1 Artisans must arrive at the scheduled time and location.
6.2 Artisans must submit before-work and after-work photographs as evidence of service delivery.
6.3 Artisans must carry out work to a reasonable professional standard.
6.4 Artisans must not solicit Clients for off-platform transactions.
6.5 Artisans found engaging in fraudulent, negligent, or unprofessional conduct may face penalties including fines, suspension, or permanent deactivation.
7.1 Clients must provide accurate address, access information, and job descriptions.
7.2 Clients must be present (or appoint a representative) at the service location during the scheduled time.
7.3 Clients must inspect completed work and either confirm completion or raise a dispute within 72 hours.
7.4 Clients must not make abusive, defamatory, or fraudulent claims against Artisans.
8.1 Clients may rate Artisans on a scale of 1–5 stars and leave written reviews.
8.2 Ratings must be genuine and based on actual service experience.
8.3 Square 15 reserves the right to remove reviews that are fraudulent, abusive, or violate these Terms.
9.1 Artisan workmanship carries a 30-day warranty from the date of completion for the same issue.
9.2 Materials supplied by Artisans carry manufacturer warranties only.
9.3 Square 15 does not guarantee the availability, quality, or timeliness of any Artisan.
9.4 The Platform is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
10.1 Square 15 acts as a marketplace facilitator and is not liable for:
10.2 Our total liability to you shall not exceed the service fee paid for the relevant booking.
10.3 Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law, including liability for fraud.
11.1 All content, trademarks, logos, and software on the Platform are owned by Square 15.
11.2 You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer any part of the Platform.
11.3 Content you submit (reviews, images, messages) grants Square 15 a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use such content for Platform operations.
12.1 We may suspend or terminate your account without notice for:
12.2 You may delete your account at any time through Profile → Settings → Delete Account.
12.3 Upon termination, any outstanding balances remain payable.
13.1 Disputes should first be raised through the in-app Help Center or by contacting support@square15.co.za.
13.2 We will endeavour to resolve disputes within 7 business days.
13.3 If unresolved, disputes shall be referred to mediation and, if necessary, arbitration in accordance with the Arbitration Act 42 of 1965.
13.4 These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
13.5 The High Court of South Africa (Gauteng Division) shall have jurisdiction.
14.1 Square 15 shall not be liable for delays or failures caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, pandemics, power outages, civil unrest, or government actions.
15.1 These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Square 15.
15.2 If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force.
15.3 Our failure to enforce any provision does not constitute a waiver.
15.4 You may not assign your rights or obligations under these Terms without our written consent.
